No New Posts The Courts of Avalbane

These courts, if they can be titled such, are entwined with the forests. In an area of trees, beautiful fountains have been placed and benches of stone are set beside them. The whole place is cooly shaded with trees of blue-grey, and the deepest green of grass ladens the ground.

No New Posts The Orchards

The orchards of Avalbane are a beautiful place full of apple trees. Perfect for a peaceful, quiet place to rest and admire the beauty of creation, grab a quick, juicy snack, or warm up on your arrows using the apples as targets! But yea, as well, at the edge of the grove of trees, and behind the citadel, but for all to see should they wish, rests a statue so lifelike that, just maybe, the woman of stone gazes at you with her soft, sad smile. She sits by a river, knees tucked under, a light gown spread about her on the lush grass that--does it move with the wind?--grows by the stream's edge. Her fingertips trail in the water, leaving ripples as they go. She is lifesize, and lifelike, of beautifully coloured stone with no specific design or pattern, but that pale, fleshlike pink quartz, and hints of blue strewn throughout, carefully selected sections especially at the azure sky-coloured eyes, which hold a joy, and yet, the same sadness that the smile holds as she gazes at the water through long lashes, head tilted in perfect reminiscence of the woman she once was.

No New Posts The Library

A library indeed, filled with colorful books, unbelieveable amounts of books. Yes, and each with its own unique information, adenture, and binding. Many often use this as a study room or a place to find quiet. It is indeed a good place to come and muse on thoughts and such. A nice place it is a bit dusty from age but it serves well.

Anoria

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts The Falls

Level with the ground, but falling to a crevice in the ground, are the falls, like a curtain of satin, and mist rising almost all the way up to the top of the chasm. If you venture down one of the not too steep ways that goes down into it, you'll see that there is a beautiful lake that the waterfalls end in. There is a rock ledge, and if you step upon this, you can walk behind the falls, without even getting wet...There are many large caves behind, the homes of the Anors.

No New Posts Caverns

These are, as stated by the name, the series upon series of caverns behind the falls. The first is the main hall, well lit by some magic unguessed by any that didn't live here and have the full blood of the Sapphires. Past this, you would find three sets of stairs, beautifully wrought into solid stone of grey, winding down to three different areas. The center leads to the dining hall and ballroom of Anoria, as well as the 'suites' of the original 7 Sapphires and the Lords and Ladys that live today; the left-most to the servant's quarters and all their work places; the right to the quarters of the residents of Anoria.

No New Posts Center Halls

To take the center staircase from the entrance cave to the Caverns of the Anorian homeland, and past the Dining Halls and Kitchens brings one to another, smaller staircase, and to a long hallway. Here, we find many rooms on either side, large and brightly lit in the day by sunlight streaming through windows and at night by turrets upon the walls. These rooms are the homes of those pure-blooded Anors that are left alive and those Elders of the race...

No New Posts The Markets

What? A market? Yes, of course, a market! The Anorian's deserve a good market, don't they? They recieve shipments from all over, and not necessarily just Anorians sell here. You have to make money somehow, even in Anoria, don't you? Everything you can imagine is bought and sold here.

No New Posts The Righthand Stair

The quarters of those residing in Anoria, reached by taking a left up the stairs from the main cavern in the beautiful Anoria, behind the falls. These rooms are truly elegant--the only downfall being the lack of windows in most of the rooms

No New Posts The Lefthand Stair

Servants of Anoria reside here--and mind, their quarters aren't much different than those of the rest of the population, only closer to the workplaces, kitchens, and the like. Yes, if you move far enough through these corridors, they eventually connect to the dining hall, and the last thing on the way is the last mentioned--the kitchens, of course! What else? Sillies. Not a bad place to be if you're interested in glass-staining, weaving, or any of the other arts

No New Posts Plains of Hidden

Here in this massive area of tall grasses and seemingly endless boundaries lays a land of great value to rangers and knights. If one is ever in need of a horse, they will find one here. There are horses in the plains that run wild and untamed, you will not accuire one without a fair fight (unless, of course, you have certain abilites to do so) and it is indeed a had task. Hollow patches in the plains are signs of where the horses have been eating. The tall grasses hide them from many things, including people, and it is very hard to catch a glimpse, let alone catch, a mount.

No New Posts Forest of the Alq

Ah, what are alq you say? Well, they are similar to elk, but in contrast, you can ride them and they are a bit larger than the normal elk. They are highly useful in the snowy and mountainous areas. Be careful though, many strange creatures that have not yet been discovered lurk about in these forests. Predators come with intention to kill such beasts as the Alq, but they will attack most anyting they see as 'game.'

No New Posts Iceglades

Iceglades knows of no heat for it has yet to stop snowing there. The terrain is very flat, due to the many layers of ice beneath ones feet, save one solitary mountain. It is very steep and is infested with ice caves. Inside the ice-filled caves are many mysteries; some say that a spell was cast upon the land, and with it came many terrors. If you happen to find yourself upon this particular mountain, you will most likely come upon the well known Ice-Knights. They are said to be the curse of the land; they have no mind or mercy and will kill anything that they think is on 'their' territory. Also, a great serpent is said to live in the heart of the caves, though whether or not this is true remains a mystery.

No New Posts The Flatlands

Where do the Anorians live? In Anoria of course! But where do the Sharneh live? In the Flatlands! What are the Sharneh you ask? Well, the Sharneh are just another branch of Anors. Plains Anors if ye wish. Just like any Anorian except for the fact that they are a plains tribe. Duh. In the desert. Yes, you heard, in the desert plains. And, of course, the odd tattoos on their faces. Each rank and gender within that rank has a different design. The logo you see is a male hunter. These Anors also practice the arts of Magic that most in Anoria do not, thus there are plenty of mages. But despite living in the wilderness, these people are not primitive. They are quite learned, and very advanced peoples. Minus the loincloth factor. Just kidding, really. They're advanced. They wear robe-y things against the desert winds, actually. And they like beads and braids. And they have really big ears. Some of them. Yeah.
