"Well, if you don't mind Kalmyr... just to be fare, scince your tending my leg, might I tend your arm?"
She smiled kindly, a closed-lipped, friendly smile and a gentle shrug. It only seemed fare. But of course, considering he was tending her own wounds right now, she would wait until he was done before attempting to bandage his.
"So... did you grow up here?"

"Of course," he'd murmered in reply to her first words.
When she spoke of his childhood, however, he gave a pursing of his lips.
"Yes... And no. However, I was not meant to. You see-- I am but half elven, if you would believe it. I was actually born in Anoria. My human, my father an elf, who happened to make some foolish mistakes. Perhaps that's where I got mine from, I'm not sure. Regardless, he left my mother alone on the road, so the first place she came to she took refuge in. That place was Anoria, as I stated. Then--I don't know, perhaps they wished me to grow up with Elven background. They sent me here, regardless, with my mother when I was a young boy. I grew up most of the rest of my childhood here, however my mother did prefer the road, so we'd travel a bit."
He shrugged almost indifferently as he finished cleaning the excess blood from the gash and began tightly bandaging it with a deft hand.
"She died, of course, soon after I became a young man."
His hand deftly explored the area of her flesh around which he was bandaging, making sure the blood would still flow properly.
"That's my sob story, I suppose," he continued, still barely paying attention to what he was saying as he continued to wrap her leg, then massage along around the bandaging with his fingertips. "Wish to tell me yours?"

She nodded, her eyes watching his work as he bandaged her leg, but turned downcast for a moment when he asked her her past. She looked up wiht a smiled though, and spoke without hesitation.
"Well... believe it or not, Im the last living member of my race. As you can see, my skin is far to dark to be of one of your courtly elven types."
She reached up and gently brushed her fingers through his hair,
"I should have guessed you where half-elven. Anyways, I grew up with the last living members of my clan until I was five, we lived in a desert, and only saw rain every five years or so. I was born on a rainy night, and my entire clan was slaughtered on a rainey night.
I watched as my parents throuts where slit in the rain, as my family and friends where killed, I guess you could call that traumatic for a small child... and it was. I have always hated the rain ever scince.
The only reason I was kept alive was becouse one of the drows half-breed children needed a friend. Thats when I met my dear friend Tiire. I grew up in the underdark, a place you will never want to go, trust me.
Drow elves live in utter darkness and see heat instead of light, like we surface dwellers do. My life was torture until we finully escaped, together. We where still young, but I was happy to finully see daylight again.
I was enrolled in an army with Tiire, and lived on the road as a sub-commander to her for a few years... 10, or so. And now she's dead, and I... well, Im here."
Sheig shrugged her slim shoulders, multi-million braided hair shimmering with even more silvron purity in the light reflected off the pool of water.

Kalmyr's ocean blue-green hued eyes flashed with emotion as she relayed her story to him and he finished up with the bandaging of her leg. His fingers roved over the area around the bandaging once more before he turned to gaze up at her a moment from his squat.
"Feel alright? Not too tight? Well, you know how bandaging feels of course. Is that good?"
He then took pause, glancing down again.
"I'm sorry about your family, Shieg. I--cannot pretend to imagine that pain. And I will not. I won't pretend to understand either. I guess... I suppose you'll find someone to call family here. Well, I'm certain, really." He gave a little chuckle. "I can see you and Dima as brother and sister now, no?"
His lips twitched into the slightest of grins as he gazed up at her again, eyes glaring with the light that seemed to rebound off of her silvery hair, becoming more of a white-blue than their blue-green colour against snow white flesh.

"No, Its fine. And..."
She smiled a tender smile,
"Thenk-you for being truthful, I dont like people saying they understand me when I know they truley dont. And yes, I know whe you mean! Dima has become a very close friend, I wouldent mind being related to him. And he has such a pretty.... fionce? I am... not quite sure of his relationship with Akila... I believe thats her name."
Sheig laughed gently,
"These people here, they make me feel so welcome. I am happy..."
She got up and moved to his other side, the side with the wound, and sat beside him, gesturing for him to completly remove his shirt.
"It will make it eaisier for me to bandage if you take it off."

"Fiance, yes, basically," he replied in a humoured voice, "If you wish to use the words a human would use. They are not exactly 'engaged' though, as, again, a human would say--" he carefully menuevered his arm out of the sleeve, then pulled the tunic the rest of the way off "--basically... together. Nothing wrong with that of course, there's just some basic descrepency over if they should exchange the mark as in Elvish tradition or... whatever the Anorian tradition is. Either of them are happy to go either way of course, though Akila would apparently rather exchange the marks in Avalbane, considering Dima's rank... The Anorians, however, want her to be wed in Anorian tradition in their cities."
He shrugged the right shoulder, keeping his wounded shoulder still as he knelt on the ground, leaning against the fountain lightly. In order to speed the process, he dipped the other cloth in the fountain, then handed it up to her, pulling his shoulder-long hair away from his shoulder after the cloth was released from his hand.

She smiled and gently wrapped up his wound with a hand that had done such things many times.
"I see. I dont think it should matter where they get married, or how for that matter. Its just a ceremony proclaiming their undying love for eachother, and a union to represent that they want eachother for the rest of their lives."
She gently adjusted a part of the cloth.
"For some people though, it is not so. and they take their union lightly, or for other reasons. Most of those... do not work out, and when they dont, then it gives the people a chance to reasize their folly and hopfully stay friiends or at least civil with eachother.
Before coming here, I had loved only one man, and I thought... well, I took it as more that it was. He turned out to be just another lecher out for a pretty face....
and I fell for it. But, as is fast becoming my quote, I thought I had given up waiting for my faerie prince to whisk me away... and nnow my heart has betrayed me again..."
She finished dressing his wound (heh, I always think salad dressing when I type that) and dropped her hands into her lap, looking away,
"Betrayed my with an impossible catch."

He gave the slightest of smiles again whilst she stated the last, this one a slight bit sad.
"Ah, my dear Shieg, you must not dwell on it," he said softly, patting her knee in a friendly manner.''
"Thank you kindly, my dear," he commented lightly as he flexed the arm slightly, experimenting with the wrapping. "That's very good."
He stood again, lifting a brow as he gazed at her.
"Like to stick around here, or what? Head back to the citadel and relax that or would you prefer to use it some?"

She looked up at Kalmyr with a confused yet cute look on her face,
"use...?"

"Use your leg. Walk around on it. Rest or walk around on it? Which is best for you?"
The woman could be just a tid bit slow--or dense. Not quite as quick 'on her feet' as the majority of the other elves. But he had to love her all the same. Being completely quick on her feet wouldn't make her Shieg. That was one of the traits that made her so loveable as she was.
He shook his head slightly, giving a bit of a wry grin.
"I suppose I should be more specific, no?"

She smiled and bonked her head gently with a closed fist,
"Of course thats what you meant!"
and laughed at herself for being so slow. She got up gingerly, placing a gentle pressure on her footand smiling.
"Well... I think we should head back to the citadel... are they closer to having lunch or dinner? Not that it matters I suppose... I dont really eat lunch."
Sheig's eyes twinkled softly as she remembered her dance with Aricin. His body felt so warm against hers...
Sheig snapped out of her little reverie with a chuckle, her face fluthing in embarrasment at her own thoughts, even though she know kalmyr hadent envisioned them as well.
"Your choice."

"My leg's not hurt, yours is," he protested, lifting a brow as he gazed at her. "So technically, it would be your choice.
HE puased, then shrugged. "We're on our own for lunch. There's a citadel breakfast and dinner, but everyone basically either stops by the kitchens or the orchards, or hunts themselves if they want lunch, or doesn't eat at all."

"No... I wont eat. Im not hungry. Shall we... go for a walk then? My leg doesnt hurt that much, and you did such a good job tending it.
But... where to go? Ive chosen what to do, so I insist you choose where we go!"
She poked him lightly on the un-injured shoulder.

"Again, you didn't tell me what we would do, you told me if you thought you could do something. Don't give me that."
His voice was coy, and he gave a quick wink before extending a hand to help her up.
"There are some places in the woods you may like to visit. I could... Take you to a place that I know from Dima that Tiire and Silas liked to share a bit of time in?"

"Sure. Please feel free to stop correcting me."
She giggled, letting him help her up.
"Alrighty... lets go."

"Ah, but it's so very fun," he replied with another wink, tweaking her chin with his finger as he glanced about.
"It's off into the woods a bit... quite a comfortable hot spring."
Picking up the rest of the bandaging supplies, he stuffed them in a belt-pouch on his belt, then moved to pick up his sword and sheathing it before he headed off towards the woods, then stopped to gaze back at her.

Her face brightened up,
"Ive never been to a hot spring before."
She blushed slightly and followed him,
"Ive ben here less than a week and already I feel like a princess."

"You'll get over it," he teased, giving another of those same, trademark smiles.
"Soon you'll get to know people other than myself, Dima, Aricin, and Dima's lady Akila. Erados, of course, and... well, depending on how long you stay, soon you should know everyone!"
He gave a little chuckle at that, glancing down a moment to view the action of her leg.
"Still feeling alright?"

"Im fine!"
She offered her own friendly smile in return, tilting her head as she walked with her new friend.
"Who tought you how to use such weapons as sword and boy?"
