I wrote this for Lit. class. I just thought I'd share it for fun. I gave it iambic meter and rhyme scheme for 10 points extra credit on a test ^^
The Bridge that Leads from Childhood
There is a bridge from childhood I heard of long ago It leadeth to a foreign place of which I do not know
It is a long, blind, winding bridge with sticks and stones along the way and at the end there is a light the shines as bright and clear as day
Those who've gone across have said it's not as bright as first appears this foreign place has it's own flaws that differ from the younger years
Perhaps you've been along the path that takes a short eternity the bridge they titled adolecence and the place maturity
