Enveloped in the soft golden light of dusk, silver hair shimmering as the last of the suns rays shne upon her exotic head, a plains elf, the last of her kind, slept peacefully under a tree.
Her head tilted to the side, lips parted delicatly in sleep, she was the image of a slumbering angel under the protective boughs of the tree.
She had come here to rest a few hours back, just a short rest before dinner time, but as she sat under the great willow, the girl had nodded off and missed her meal altogether.

Trust Shieg to miss her meal. She'd turned into quite the character, and this was the second of four missed meals.
Kalmyr, of course, had to go looking for her when she turned up missing from the meal she'd helped to prepare. He hadn't eaten but a few bites before leaving to find her. Who knew what kind of trouble she could get in to-- as what he knew of her so far suggested.
When he caught sight of her, he simply shook his head and let out a little chuckle under his breath before approaching. A sack hung over his shoulder by a bit of leather.
He removed it quickly and hung it towards the ground from a limp arm. He then approached her, and as she was asleep, lifted her pant leg ever so slightly to check the bandaging about the wound on her leg.
"Shieg..."
His voice was soft and gentle, but enough to wake her if she slept not too heavily.

Sheig's golden eyes flitted open blearily, but she had not been sleeping that heavily, as it was just a nap, and did not need that much provoking to be awakened.
"Huh...? Kalmyr..."
she blinked.
oh no! dinner! I completely forgot! and now kalmyr must have gone out of his way to find me! I hope he ate first, maybe he'll get sick from lack of nutrition!
her mind was going a million miles a second and the thoughts made no sence at all it seemed, but her good intent shone through.
"I... I must have dozed off! Im so sorry for troubling you at all if I have!"
she murmured, albeit hastily.

Without a word, the fellow tilted backwards to take a seat in front of her, pulling open the sack he'd placed on the ground.
"How's your leg?"
He rummaged in the sack, pulling out two plates, a pair of goblets, and two skins--water and wine--then some bread, some fruit, and a bit of meat--assumably from whatever he'd killed earlier--if he'd managed a shot.
"I stopped by the dining hall, and when you didn't show, I went looking for you. When you weren't in your room or the kitchens, I grabbed some stuffs from in there instead of the dining hall. It's not as much as they've got, but it's enough. Rather nice enough meal, I'd say. Unless you wish to go pick out some of your own..."
He motioned to the skins.
"Red wine and water."

Sheig blinked as he pulled out the objects from his sack. She smiled. Kalmyr was really very kind for putting up with erh.
"My leg... oh, its fine. hurts a little but its alright I guess. May I have some of the wine?"
She normally had water, but wine seemed like a good idea to her now. She hadent had any in ages.

He poured her wine then served up a platter for each of them.
((Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhm........... Dude... You really don't give me much to work with))

"Thanks, Kalmyr."
She smiled and sipped her drink quietly, leg's tugged behind her, on arm holding her balace by beoing placed on the ground, the other holding the drink.
The chimes in her hair tinkled musically as a breeze passed by,
"You have a very pretty name, you know that? makes me think of... traveling. and Autumn. Your hair, too..."
she placed her cup down and gently touched his long hair,
"Was it your mother that gave your hair such a colour?"

"'tis blonde, nothing more or less," he replied touching her hand lightly with hers. "But yes, more or less my mother's colour."
He pondered a moment, finally pulling her hand out of his hair and squeezing it lightly before pushing it gently towards the ground and away from him.
"How exactly does my name remind you of traveling and autumn? I see absolutely no connection whatsoever, just to lay it out to you. That's my humble oppinion of course."

"I dont know, just the sound of it I guess... like my name, Sheyliyah, always kindof made me think of pearls and the ocean."
She laughed, shrugging her slim, dusky shoulders.
"And your hair, I guess its becouse Im so used to seeing people with white or silver hair. And the only human's or no-drow elves ive really met before coming here all had dark hair. Yours is like... sunshine."

"Winter," he murmered in response to what she thought her name sounded like. "I suppose I hear the season in your name as you do mine. And I suppose I understand what you mean as to hair colour... Dima has dark hair, as well as... Silas... And Aricin's hair is... silver..."
Aricin. The fool had gone and let another woman fall for him without trying even in the least to stop it. Why, was beyond him. As far as he knew of Aricin's relationship with Efion, for instance, he would have let her know by now that he loved her, if he did. Then again, everyone could change. And who was he to judge?

She smiled softly, a gentle curve of her rose-petal lips.
"Winter... I can see that. Dima... Dima is springtime I think. Aricin is as well, but Aricin is more of early, early spring, when frost still litters the ground, even though the earth is slowly regaining its color..."
she sipped her drink slowly, blinking her unique golden eyes.
"I feel so stupid..."
she murmured.

"Stupid? Dear Shieg, there is nothing... Stupid, about you. What on earth do you mean by that?"
Of course he had the vague idea that she meant the whole Aricin relationship. But it could not be helped. It was not her fault.
"He leaves tomorrow afternoon, you know. Ten or so days free of his sight ladening you-- would that be better for you then having to see him all day off and on? He travels to Anoria on business with the shifters."

"He's leaving? yeah, I guess your right."
She sighed and shook her head, quirky smile now replacing the soft one as she examined all that had happened during her stay here. What a dramatic existance she had created for herself!
"I should really thank him, for his kindness in letting me stay, even after Im sure I embarassed him."
What a sheig thing to say. She didnt even take into acount any of the greif he had caused her, knowing it was unwittingly done by him. Instead, she took all the blame for her feelings and piled it on herself.

He seemed to notice what was held behind all the facade, and gave a little glare towards her.
"No use being unselfish Shieg. You know that it hurts you just as much as it's quite possibly embarassed, hurt, all the whatnot Aricin. No use being afraid to say it. Let me tell you, it hurts him to hurt you."
He set down the wine he'd pulled up to his lips after a rather nice bite of bread and cheese, then poured himself a bit more before lifting the goblet to his lips again.
I know it hurts you because it hurts me...
Ha! Pathetic half-blood.

"Well... I cuoldent possibly be selfish about the whole thing, I mean, it is me who foolishly loves him. Oh, I wish my being hurt doesnt hurt him too!"
She blinked,
"I should get over myself, and be happy so that I dont hurt him."
Geeze, it was like she hadent even heard what Kalmyr had said. Alright, so she wasnt stupid, she was dense.

He sighed and shook his head softly in response, the smallest of humoured smiles on his lips.
"You're not even about yourself, fool girl. How can you get over yourself? I admit, selflessness is a wonderful thing--but not when you take it to such a level, m'dear."
The smile flickered a moment, then disappeared completely beneath the rim of his goblet once more before he sat it down and stretched backward, adjusting himself so that one leg was folded under and the other rested directly out to the side, bent so that he could lean his weight on it, elbow resting neatly there.

"I am the way I am... Im so sorry if I dissapoint you, but I cant change myself."
She murmred, her own goblet reaching the ground with a gentle thud as she set it down with care. Hair shimmered like cristal's in the light, and the very crystals entwined within it glimmered and twinkled, a reminicent of the curiosity constantly glimmering in the eyes of this very woman.
Eyes of burnished gold stared at the contrast in skin colours between the two. Her's, the smooth, dusky colour that could not be called brown, and yet was far from the creamy colours that where famous of the elvish people, wherase his... any tan that could be foudn on the elf's skin would only have com from long hours ot in the sun, although... most elves would just burn in the sun, or so she thought. But he was a half-elf, so she was sure that made the difference between burnign and tanning.
Rose-petal lips searched for somethign to say, head still downcast as almond round eyes now followed the shiny black back of a bettle as it trod its lazy way through the grass.
