"Here we are," he said as they arrived there several minutes later after passing through the woods.
Steam rose evenly from the surface of the warm water, creating a hazy effect on the background.
The clearing the spring rested in was perhaps fifteen to twenty metres in diameter, and the spring five metres across.
He took a moment to think, then turned back to her, frowning slightly in thought.
"Many people taught me, I suppose. It's tradition to teach children of the citadel of the bow, and I picked up the swords and other blades off of a few random people here and there, I suppose. But where did you learn to use your...claws, if your family was...slaughtered while you were a child... if you... don't mind my asking?"
He seemed rather tentative about his last question, for the first time since they'd first spoken. He truly did not wish to offend her or set her mind to her clan again, but he was curious, for it was in his nature. However, he did feel he'd gone a bit too far.

Sheig squeeled in delight when she spotted the spring, bounced up and down a few times before turning to answer his question with a smile.
"Hm? oh, I learned how to use them after I escaped from the Underdark. Well... I had been learning to used them when I was a child, but that was more of a little family joke."
She shrugged.
"I was taught by a man named Tey. I met him in the army we joined ranks with so as not to get found and murdered by a drowish raiding party."
She eyed the Hotspring like a fat cat about to take a three hour nap;;.

He nodded in reply and gave a much humoured smile.
"I take it you'd like to get in?" he asked coyly, lifting a brow as he gazed at her with the same humourous grin.
"Go ahead. I don't believe it'll cause any harm, hmm?"
Again, his voice was teasing as he gazed at her with that same smile.

She smiled happily and immeadiatly dropped her clothing, soon standing stark naked infront of the handsome elf.
Forgetting about her foot she stepped into the water, wincing at the pain that shot up her leg via hot watre on closing wound.
She sighed contentedly soon after though, once she was submersed up to just above her chest line.

Well, he hadn't thought much about the clothing aspect, now had he?
As soon as she dropped her clothing he glanced away, not exactly sure about how she would feel about his looking at her and the whatnot. Typically in the citadel the folk were a bit more open than most about their figures, however he'd no idea how she was raised.
After she wsa in the water though, he glanced back over, studying her pained expression. "Alright?"
He removed his tunic again, as well as his belt with it's multiple daggers and sheathes, then droped into the water a bit away from her.

She smiled happily, practically purring in delight. A really cute sight to see, she looked everything like a contented cat.

He rather would have liked to pull her into his arms at that, as he might have any other woman that he took the slightest bit of interest in.
But he did, of course, hold that off. How could he not?

"So... I really dont want to sound rude, Kalmyr, but... has there ever been a special somone in your life?"
Sheig propped her foot above water, so it was resting on a rock. Better that the cloth didnt loosen up under water.

The man snorted.
"Someone special, Shieg? I already told you I've made mistakes with women. I went back and forth between them as I pleased."
He sounded--well, not proud of the fact, certainly, but rather nonchalant about it, in truth.
"Something about my father, I suppose. He left my mother, so I thought I could use women like he did. At least I guess that's what happened. I used women for my pleasure.
"Of course, I've seen the error of my ways today--but some haven't quite forgiven me yet."
He shrugged indifferently.
"Not like it matters anyway."

"It is not right to mess around with peoples emotions. Do you.... do you even feel bad for what you did?"
She asked softly, looking up at Kalmyr with large golden eyes.
"Or have you just... shrugged it off? are these women... stil only toys to you? even if you have not seen them scince... do you still feel that way?"

"What gives you the idea that I do not care?" he asked with furrowed brows, sea blue eyes glimmering in anxiety.
"Has anything I've said since we met--or rather, since I told you that I made mistakes--hinted that I did not feel regret about it?
The only thing I do not regret is that they do not forgive me. I know the error of my ways, and that is all that matters. It would be nice if they forgave me--but does it matter, in the end?"

Sheig smiled, then did somthing so very unexpected she shocked herself. She slipped over to kalmyr and enveloped him in a tight, friendly hug.
"Im sorry I shouldent have pried at you like that."

Instead of returning the embrace, as one might have expected him to do, or allowing her to hug him, his hands found her waist and he pushed her away.
"Do not tempt me, woman. It has been long enough since I've had a body pressed to mine, and I do not need that now."
He himself pulled back to another portion of the clear springs, ducking under the hot water a moment before returning to the surface and blinking water away from his eyes.
"I appreciate your apology, really I do, but recall your own situation, and mine. I could very easily take this to my advantage, if I felt the desire."

Dark golden eyes looked up at him, confused for a moment. Why would he have done that? she thought. Why... would he have taken advantage of me... we are..friends.
"I... I guess... I am sorry once more. I did not... I mean Im... sorry."
She looked away, flustered with herself for a moment. Yearnign to change the subject, she gazed up at the sky and smiled softly.
"Have you known very many humans in your lifetime? I mean... what are they like? and what about these... anorians, i think it is, what are they like?"
Her child like curiosity surfacing again.

His elven blood kicked in as the thoughts ran through her head, and he felt rather guilty for making her feel so uncomfortable. He would so very much have liked to apologize. But now that the topic had been changed, it didn't seem right or fair to return to it.
"Humans... I've never met very many. My traveling ended after my mother died anyway-- I was, perhaps... well, not much younger in elven reckoning than I am now. But when we traveled, it wasn't very much. And mainly to other elven cities, however, we did visit her home once or twice when I was very young. The humans that I did know were friendly enough...
"Anorians, however, I might tell you more about. They are a shape-shifting race... They can transform to the animal they most identify with, that being a living mark upon their back. I know because some of the Anorian women that travel here, or that I met in Anoria wear low cut dresses that allow a glimpse of randomly appearing and disappearing black tattoo-like marks.
"They have basically the same traits of the elves... their senses are keen, though they are much more easily affected by alcohol then ours are--however their aging is half that of the elves, I'd say. Akila, for instance, is older than Aricin, and over twice the age of Dima, though she appears an easy eight years younger. And as the elves, their personality is rather well-to-do. Most are composed rather well."

"I see. I met a human, once, but... he didnt live long enough for me to speak with him. Actually, it wouldent have mattered if I tried to talk with him anyways, for the drow elves had cut his tounge right out of his mouth."
The hot water was starting to make Sheig feel a little dizzy, so she gestured that she was going to get out. her hair was only half-wet, from the shoulders down, that is.
Sheig climbed slowly out of the water so as not to slip and hurt her leg, and slipped on her clothing after she had squeezed some of the water fromher hair (carfully avoiding getting stabbed by the shards of glass that she hung in her hair).

As soon as she motioned that she was getting out, he turned away, moving from the edge of the wall and treading water steadily. He dunked under the water a moment more, and then returned to the surface, turning after a moment. When he saw that she'd returned to her clothes, he blew a bit of water off of his upper lip, then pulled himself out of the water.
He shook his head a bit to remove excess water, then pulled his belt back on and picked up his tunic. No sense getting it as wet as the rest of his clothing.

"Now... perhaps, back to the citadel?"
She asked even as she walked over to check and see if Kalmyrs badaging was still on tight enough. she gently prodded it, saw it was fine, and smiled her happy, contented smile.
"Perhaps I could help with the evening meal! do you think the cooks could use an extra hand? or maybe I could help the gardeners, do you have gardeners here? or do you import everything?"
She paused, noticing she was rambling and doing her best to stop.

"Import? Oh... bringing things in from different areas? Well, we don't have gardners, and we don't... 'import' anything except ales. We have everything we need here, and we make ale here too, but mainly for special occasions."
His brows furrowed.
"They might use your help in the kitchens with the evening meal. Though it is probably already in the works, considering all the folk to feed. But you might try."
Tossing his tunic over his shoulder, he slipped on his boots and trotted off towards the woods again in the direction they'd come from, then stopped at the edge of the clearing to wait for her.

Sheig followed Kalmyr happily, she loved helping people and the chance tohelp out in the kitchens thrilled her to no ends.
"Hey Kalmyr, what are you ging to do when we get back?"
She asked innocently, swinging her paws that she held in her right hand.
