He gave a noise of disapproval, taking her hand again and rubbing it thoughtfully between his.
"No, you're all right, Shieg. There's no reason for you to get carried away, is there?"
He grinned wryly, then nodded his head downwards. "May I take a look? Your bandaging probably needs to be changed anyway," he said softly, reaching his hand down as if to lift her leg onto the bed, but waited for her to do so herself. "And if I am to keep my promise to you..."
His wry smile showed again, and his eyes glimmered brightly as he glanced up at her.

"Oh, hush!"
She laughed, picking up and tossing a pillow at him playfully,
"I may take things too seriously, but I am no china doll!"
She cired out, nothing but humor in her voice.
"Yes, I probably do need a new bandage though..."
She unabashedly tugged up her doe-skin skirt and unwound the bandage, wincing as she pulled it away from her flesh. It had become a little infected, but not oozing anything odd, so that was a good thing.

"No, you are not a china doll, you are worse!" he exclaimed mockingly as she removed the bandaging he'd previoiusly applied. "China dolls don't argue with you, and they don't bleed!
I'll let you have a look at my arm when your leg is done, if it suits to make you feel better."
He winked, stood, and retrieved bandaging from the things that the servant woman had brought (yes, they magically poofed!), as well as a cloth, which he wet in the basin before returning to brush lightly around the wound.
"Lucky I wasn't using training blades with you," he murmered after a moment. "These were a bit dull, but if they'd been much worse, you'd have flesh torn off up to your knee," he overexaggerated cooly, an odd expression on his face as he glanced from her leg up to her face.

"Ha, ha. I dont believe a word of it!"
She said with a grin, giving Kalmyr a lightly noogie with her right hand.
"Besides,"
She murmured,
"Its only a flesh wound. Not like it'll refuse to heal or anything of those sorts."

"What, that china dolls don't whine at you?" he asked teasingly, putting up with the noogie for the time. "I personally have never heard one speak, but as you wish."
Now then... Ah, those leaves would do.
He picked them up, some of the ones brought by the servant, crushing them in his hand before dipping them into the warm water.
"These are good for your immune system... Drunk, breathed, whatever... But they're also good for blocking infection on the outside, which you obviously...need..."
He was plastering the smaller pieces of wet leaves to her leg, attempting to keep them off the bed, then reached as far as he could for a roll of bandaging.
He wrapped the wound deftly.
"Anyway, I would have done more to stop my blades if they had been dull. Actually, I did think that you would manage to avoid all my attacks that time. I overestimated you." He grinned wryly. "But I won't do that again, or underestimate you. But it may be another way around when you pick up some blades. You're still up for learning, aren't you? Come, Shieg, you simply must learn, or at least try."

Sheig stood silent, watching his progress. She poked her tounge out at him at his humorously snide remarks.
"I meant I didnt think it possible for you to do me any serious damage. And besides, Im not the only one with a wound ne?"
She chuckled, a grins plastered on her face, eyes still watching his hands,
"My claws are much better than your spindly metal sticks, you know. But, I do so love learning new things!"

"Mm, of course, however our spindly little metal sticks are quite convenient if you know how to use them. There are some peoples that train with the blades in such a way that they can do anything I've seen you do and more, with a longer reach."
The bandaging finished, he gave a few dabs about the cloth, once more making sure the job was neither too tight nor too loose, then leaned on the bed and removed his tunic, unwrapping his previous bandaging.
It was slightly pink about the wound, but otherwise there were no signs of infection , and the split across his right shoulder was nothing he could not handle.

"You sounded for a moment like somone that was once very familiar to me! Ah, my days in that army where not one I could forget. I do not like death, but its not the battlefield that I remember, anyways. I and the sub comanders sat table together, Tiire and the commanders...."
She blinked out of her reminicing with a smile and a shake of her head (causing a resounding jingle)
"Ah, my mouth has run away with me again! oh, Kalmyr, I wish I could introduce you to them! they where all so wonderful! well... The assassination squad had its issues... and the clerics wher a bit stuck up but... they where all good people.
They where the closest thing to a family I had scince I was a child. Tiire and the rest all thought the same."
((I updated her description, check it out!! Ive got pics of all the commanders and sub-commanders of their section of their army! tis awsum and took me an hour! seesee!!))

"No, no, Shieg, your past interests me. Feel free to let your mouth run about that as long as you wish, m'dear, it is always good to hear new stories around here, especially true ones. Tell me more?"
He disposed of the bandaging he'd just finished removing from his own arm and turned the right to her for bandaging, balancing on his toes as he spun, then lifting to sit on the edge of the bed once he'd turned, not much for squatting on the floor too long.

"You really want to know? alright... lets start with names then."
She reached out and picked up the bandaging, gently starting to re-wrap his arm as she began to speak.
"Well, Tiire and I where commander and sub commander of the general militia. You know, a small amount of cavalry with the rest on foot fighting with maces or other personalized items.
The commander of the swordsmen was a human man named Javik, and his wife the sub commander, Teyda. The two elites of our magic user-force where a young half- elf named Savin and sub to him a girl-mage named Elnis.
The archery squad has the two youngest leaders, the twins Lucia and Raphael. They where only sixteen, and the bastard children of Javik... but not of Teyda, mind you. She never knew that though, until Savin had a bit too much ale one night and spilled the beans."
She laughed, tightening the gauze slightly,
"That was a fight worse than a battle of two armies! Anyways, with an army you need clerics, and the heads of that small group where Varandisna who had and elf in her backround, btu she'd never ad mit it. Thought they where dirty stupid creatures... or at least SAID she thought that. A bit stuck up... anyways, her sub was a human named Paa'Dik.
We only had one alchemist.. and its strange, the most vivid thing I remember about him was the way he smelled. Probably becouse ti was so strange. Like... crushed rose petals and dried peaches. I swear,"
The pretty plains elf tied off his bandage and shuffled into a comfortable sitting position,
"That, over time, became my favorite smell in the enitre world. But... he was mixing chemicals for a skin soothing potion I had asked for when I got a rash on my arms this one time... accidently tipped the wrong ingrediants into it I suppose... there was a flash of light, and when we cheked his tent he was no where to be found.
Dissintigrated, I suppose. We where all so sad. At least if he had died in battle we would have been able to bury his body. His name was Donatello."
Her face had sunk into a somber look for only a split second- it it was best, she always said, to remember the dead for the good times had, not the future that they could no longer hope for. She was smiling again when she spoke the rest,
"And, I guess that leaves the assassination squad! The head was a one-quarter halfling, two parts human, and on part elf-girl named Cialla. her sub, or 'neck' as they sometimes joked was Ertis. They called her the neck becouse without Ertis, Cialla would would have bolted off somewhere long ago, just like a neck keeps the head from rolling off the body."

Kalmyr listened quietly, frowning or chuckling when it was called of him, and nodding his thanks when she finished tying the bandage.
He pressed his hand along the cloth, massaging his shoulder lightly as he adjusted himself to sit in a slightly more comfortable position beside Shieg and yawned loudly.
"Sorry, not your story, just... Lack of sleep is all." He grimaced, still massaging his shoulder.
"So," he changed the subject a moment later. "Dinner starts in a while... I'll give you time to ready yourself. I'm sure Avalbane has treated you well and you still have fresh clothing in your wardrobe there. I'll fetch you in a bit? Or shall we just meet there?"

"Well.... it usually takes me a while to get changed into your pretty elvish clothing so... I think I will come down to dinner by myself. We will see eachother there."
She said with pleasant formality, tapping her knee twice with a giggle.
" And my stories are known to be boring, so I half-expected you to not like them! Hows about you go take a nap before dinner starts? And will Aricin be there? and Dima? and the girl with the pretty eyes? how about that lady from the woods??"

"Alright then, you will know when it's time to be down when you hear the instruments warming up.
"Aricin will indeed be there, of course, as well as Dima and Akila. I'm not sure about Erados. But the woman from the woods, Dima's mother? Seremidal will not be coming--she never does. She keeps to herself out there in her little house. Doesn't like it up here with everyone else, I suppose. Alas, she does not know what she's missing... Or does she?"
He smiled slightly, winking before stepping towards the door, closing it softly behind him before Shieg could ask any questions, leaving her to ready herself for dinner.

"Ill See you then, I guess. Bye Kalmyr!"
Sheig called, wondering what he had been trying to get at. Deciding not to dwell on the subject, the girl rushed over to the dresser to see what dress the elves had set out for her to wear this evening.
She gasped in delight at the beautiful dress sitting before her. She quickly dropped her clothign to the floor and started to get dressed....
((will post at dining hall ^_^ oh, the imaginary tension! what tis she wearing? dundundun. Teehee. can you tell im hyper???))
