Mevra finally got the paper away from the deer and stuffed it into her pocket. "Just...a list."She grabbed hold of Baron's bridle and held his head close so she could mutter into his ear."And don't you go pulling that out again,Baron. You know very well why."She released his bridle and slapped his shoulders lightly."Behave."

"A list?..." he mumbled, then shruged it off. "Well, I say we have a visit to Anoria. We'll past into Avalbane's borders on the way, of course, since the two kingdoms are neighbors, so we can take a peek inside if you would like."
Maloin grumbled. He probably wouldn't be allowed inside, and even if he were he wouldn't go inside. Falmar frequented Zelnokh, being full confident in defending himself and always enjoying a good taunt. A Dwarf in an elven city, however, had no advantage inside.

Mevra gave Maloin a weird look and reached her hand into her pocket, touching the list lightly. The paper felt wet,and she hoped the ink hadn't smudged in the deer saliva. She looked to Baron and shook her head, sighing. "Well then, let's go visit Anoria!" She tried to put on a cheerful face, despite her scowl at Baron's behavior.

" Oh, I think you'll quite like it there, as well as the inhabitants. They're very... unique," he said with a smile, still looking over at the piece of paper. Maloin grunted in response.
"Oh, come, Mr. Locks. If you can lock me out of anywhere than certainly you have the keys to everything. I'm sure you can get through Avalbane without any trouble."
For the sake of the lady he did not strike Falmar, for he so hated being called 'Mr. Locks,' but he tolorated it for now.
"Fairy," he muttered.

Mevra swapped the paper to a different pocket and grabbed hold of Baron's reins, holding him so he couldn't reach the paper if he desired to again. "Better be on your best behavior, Baron." She warned the deer, grabbing one of his antlers and tugging it down lightly. "I mightn't snap your neck off, but it will hurt just as bad if I tug hard enough."
Baron straightened, determined now not to get on Mevra's bad side.

It seems your having a bit of trouble with him, eh? He does fear punishment, though, doesn't he?" Falmar commented, having nothing better to say. He pulled yet another leaf from his mouse brown hair, tossing of to the side with annoyance. Maloin chuckled quietly to himself. "Where do you and your mount come from, m'lady?"

"Many lands...never stay in one place for too long. Never lived anywhere, and never had a true destination. Just been travelling without a purpose other than to pick up on some good...work." She had to pause at the last word. Her work wasn't the best sort, and the list reflected that quite well. She was normally just a traveller, but when the need of money arose she'd seek out a high payer for assassin work. That was her job when the time came that cash was required. The list was of good payers, who seemed to always need a job done.

" I see..." he mumbled as his grey eyes trailed off into a misty glade.
"I was raised in Avalbane, of course. They call it 'The White Orchard.' 'T is a beautiful place. The moon-flowers never grow there anymore, though. I remember them when I was a child, which was far to many years ago for me to count, but they enchanted the place in the night. After the lady Efion died Lord Aricin just let them... die." he said as he squated and let his hand grace a white bloom in the glade.
"Oh, I'm sorry, my mind trail for a bit. Well, I don't live anywhere in particular anymore. I roam about these land nowadays. I've no use but to roam anymore, really. It's my occupation."

"Let your mind wander as often as it needs to,sir elf. It's a gift to have chance to do so, might as well use that gift to it's full." Mevra looked to Baron, and Baron returned the knowing glance. They'd been trained to keep their mind in the present, and now found that they couldn't let their minds wander... they were stuck in the now, hardly able to reflect on the then.

" But then I would fully be stuck in the past or future and never enjoy the present, eh? We don't always need to know what's coming," he said softly as he chuckled to himself. Maloin had gone ahead, having nothing to say to elves or men of interest save stories around a campfire, which he would save for later.

"True enough." Mevra nodded and looked ahead at Maloin. "Not too chatty is he?"
Baron seemed to shake his head, agreeing that the dwarf wasn't a too chatty figure.

"He misses his own people, as do I sometimes. We can't go back for some time now, though. We still have to make it to Feoras and back. It's only been a week since we set off from Zelnokh." he replied as he watched the stout figure walk with a heavy foot from the weight of his axe.

"What exactly were you doing back there, might I ask? Seemed much like a foolish game to me." Mevra tugged lightly at Baron's reins as the deer got impatient, reaching a hand up in warning toward his antlers to shut him up.
Again, Baron took this warning into mind and calmed down.

" Have not you heard of the reputation of Elves and Dwarves? We simply do not get along. We were just having a bit of fun, I guess. It is always entertaining to pick a row with a dwarf." He smiled in the memory of it.

"As far as elves and dwarves go I know very little...other than apparently dwarves are awefully short and elves have pointed ears unlike humans." She smirked a little. "Funny looking ears, but sorta cute. Like an innocent little bunny in my view of comparison."

" An innocent little bunny?" he repeated, mouth curving into amusement. His youthful dimples indented the sides of his cheeks as he grinned, and he reached up trace his fingers along his pointed ear. " Not a lynx or something fierce?"

"Naw,looks like a bunny to me." Mevra smirked."Though the dwarf looks a bit like a chipmunk."

"Hawk..." Mevra answered, abbruptly(sp?). "Trust me on that one."

"Alright, then, what would a hawk symbolize?" he added. Maloin stopped to look up at the sky. The sun was beginning to wane once again on their long journey to Feoras. He heaved a great sigh.
