"As I am not from here I was not aware, but it good to know I've atleast been accepted as a Cursed rather than attempt to hide myself as a human." She stretched her wings out and glided down from Baron's back.

He chuckled slightly at some amusement he'd found in the midst of his breif muse, then turned to the clearing, eyeing the sight with satisfaction. "Surely you do not know why I came here. That story, however, is for another night 'round another campfire. As for now, shall we head back? The night is growing old, very old. Nay, 'tis morning. Very early morning. Let's have some sleep. I think you'd find the dwarf in full agreement. What say you, Father?"
"Aye, Aye, I agree. Where do the likes of you sleep anyhow, elf? In trees? I've yet to see you shut an eye." "I sleep when I'm in need of it, Dwarf, " he replied with a smile, waiting for Maloin to lead the way.

"In cold weather is where I live and breathe." Mevra turned her beak upward proudly. "It is the most welcoming temperature I find. And being around me for so long my friend Baron had come to accept the cold as well. But at my favored temperature, even he cowers."
Baron snorted and shot her a look.
"Don't you deny it, I've seen you shiver."

" It's naught to be ashamed of. Even this mountain dweller gets a chill." Maloin gave Falmar a deadly glare "Your beard grows white with this weather, Father," he jeers, shoving Maloin into the snow. The dwarf redeemed himself by conjuring up a gigantic snowball and heaving it at an incredible velocity, hitting Falmar square in the nose and knocking him back a few steps.
"Look at us. Such brothers, aye? We get along so well. Mother would be pleased"

The hawk and the deer stood next to each other, watching them.
"A couple of fools you two are, playing like children." Mevra shook her head and happily flew straight into the snow.
Baron reared back as bit of snow flew up at him and snorted, glaring at Mevra who poked her head out of the snow the look at him. "Got a problem, Bar?"
Baron snorted and jumped forward, sending the smaller bird scrambling to dodge his hooves.

"Mother, yes, she'd of been pleased. What a fright she hs when you wer born, though, " he replied.
"Only 'cause she wanted two daughters and only got one."
Falmar glared at Maloin, then turned to Baron.
"Poor Deer..." (Pun intended)

(XD That's so funny, your whole post has me cracking up.)
Baron snorted and was about to trot off when the snow seemed to explode under him.
Mevra settled back on the ground and laughed at the startled deer whom had run a distance away. "See Baron? Being small has it's advantages!"
Baron turned to her and snorted, glaring at her.
"What? The poor little fawn scared cause meany Mevra went and spooked him?" She grinned and flew off as Baron chased after her, antlers pointed in her direction. She smirked and flew near Falmar and Maloin, Baron charging after her.

" And you venture to call us children, m'lady," he said with a daunting smirk, eyes fixed upon the bird and her "prey."

Again Mevra dove into the snow and erupted from beneath Baron, giving the deer a fright once more. She smirked and turned to the two."Oh,but you are children, are you not? Didn't pop outta the ground did ya?" She turned just as Baron came running at her and turned into a frosty mist, drifting away from the very angry deer and solidifying back into the human she had been not long earlier. "Baron, my friend, watch where you point those things." She shook a finger at him. "Could hurt someone with those fine antlers of yours."

"Well, he might've popped out," he jested. Maloin threw anouther great snowball, this time somehow managing to catch the elf offguard and unbalanced. Falmar hit the ground with a light thud, elven laughter penetrating the hearts of the trees.
"S'pose I right deserve that one, my friend, but enough of this childsplay. Ought we not go to bed?" he said, eyes dashing to Mevra's to beseech a reply, "'tis the verge of dawn."

"I don't see why not.Though,I'll have to stop with the cold...as lovely as it is."
Baron snorted and glared at her as she reached to pat his head.
"Why,Baron, not gonna bite me are ya?"She grabbed hold of his antlers."You know what fate it'll be if you do."

"I've had rest enough, but Maloin must be worn. Tell me on our way back, how did you two come across eachother? Deer don't often pair up with beings such as ourselves," he asked, glancing over at the vexed creature.

"Where I come from, deer are trained in place of horses. Baron was just a fawn, one of the best bred, and he was all mine. When we left, I took him with me."

"Interesting," he commented, having nothing better to say. The idea of general conversation was waining rapidly. To be honest, a certain weariness came over his bones not often felt by elves, being immortal creatures in a certain sense. Maloin was dragging his stocky form as fast as his tiresome bones would let him, which was by no means rapid. He was hunched, sagging over like a gorilla.

Baron trotted on ahead, disappearing quickly through the trees.
"Now where do you think YOU'RE going?"Mevra growled."Baron, get back here or I'll have your antlers pulled!"

Falmar whirled around to face the direction of the deer's path "I'll fetch him if need be!" he exclaimed, walking slowly to the base of a tree to peer at the small hoofprints and their steady procession. Maloin finally managed to reach where Falmar had stopped, and fell to his knees, resting his weary head against the trunk of the tree, closing his sagging eyes pitifully. He didn't feel up to a deer hunt at all.
Falmar looked down to find the dwarf in peaceful slumber. He smiled at the new content in his grey face as a friend does when he finds some earthly nature amusing and/or heart wrenching. Perhaps it was the vulnerablity of the dwarf, or maybe pity, but moreover that amiable love for Maloin and his funny race that sometimes won over his natural elven distaste. Weariness was lifted in this swift moment, and he looked back at the fresh path of the deer, eager for the opportunity of adventure.

Mevra stared at the small hoof prints and then moved to stand over them. Her eyes glowed a golden yellow for a moment and she gave a snarl of disgust."Why that little....why do I put up with him?"She grumbled and crossed her arms."Insult me dare he!And who has been raising him all this time? Not his mother! That doe went and killed herself attempting escape. If that buck tries escaping me he may very well end up like his mother."
She kicked at the snow angrily and shook her head."He won't stray far however...we are friends despite arguement."She looked down at the hoofprints."Better fetch him before he does end up like that old doe."

"Escape? Sounds as though you're holding him captive," a wave of discontent washed over his brows, but faded as his thoughts shifted to the task, "I'll fetch him. I've a certain gift for charming animals, born of my race, and I'm swift on foot. That is, if you wish..."
